Milkwave
← Back to Overview
Milkwave is built with a strict privacy-first philosophy. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites (zero IDFA / advertising tracking).
To improve visualizer performance, enhance app stability, and understand feature usage, Milkwave uses Google Analytics for Firebase. This service collects anonymous, aggregated product interaction metrics (such as visualizer mode selections, theme changes, session durations, and crash reports). This data is completely pseudonymous and is never linked to your personal identity.
When microphone permission is granted, audio input is captured exclusively to compute real-time Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) frequency spectrums via Apple's Accelerate framework.
Audio is processed strictly in volatile RAM and is never recorded to disk, never stored, and never transmitted over any network.
Milkwave optionally accesses now-playing metadata (track title, artist name) solely to display current track information alongside visualizations. No listening history or user library data is collected, harvested, or shared.
When Smart Lighting sync is enabled, discovery and light command transmissions (e.g. Philips Hue, HomeKit, Matter) stay strictly within your private local Wi-Fi network. No lighting credentials or network topology are ever sent outside your home network.
Milkwave contains dynamic visual animations, strobe effects, and rapid color shifts that may cause discomfort or trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.
Users who experience light sensitivity or dizziness should discontinue use immediately. We encourage taking regular breaks and viewing in well-lit environments.
